In October we received an invitation at DayPass to an interview with the most important business seed accelerator in the world: Y Combinator. Big names like Dropbox and Airbnb have passed through its hands and it is, to our knowledge, the leading early-stage business projects filter in the world.
Only 2% of the companies that apply are invited, and from Spain there have only been two other companies that have passed the filter. Although at the time of writing we have already been informed that we have not been accepted on the acceleration programme, our confidence in the future that awaits us was greatly boosted by the feedback we received: “We love your passion for the space, and it’s clear you guys have strong domain expertise. In the same statement they encourage us to reapply in the next call and they endorse the feeling we already had from the results of the first 6 months of the project: DayPass is an initiative that brings value to its suppliers by increasing the total revenue of hotels, beach clubs, resorts and spas while offering end customers a product with stand-out value.
